Background & Impact

What I love about Positive Tracks is that they give everyone a voice and the resources they need to make a difference. Last January, I partnered with Positive Tracks to create an athletic event to increase mental health resources and suicide prevention. I organized a 5K which brought together over 120 participants! Donations from 35 donors raised over $1,154 for Samaritans, the non-profit organization I chose to support.

The best part of this process was feeling hopeful and empowered. It can be so scary and overwhelming when you see there is so much work to be done, but Positive Tracks breaks the whole process of activism down, step by step, which I now believe is how long-lasting, meaningful change is made. There was always a team behind me, making me feel like anything was possible.
