Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be a Stadium Summit in 2027?
Yes! Please join us on Thursday, April 29, 2027. Share your contact information here and we’ll let you know when registration is open.
What is the Positive Tracks Stadium Summit?
It’s a one-day evening climbing event happening on April 29, 2027 where participants will take on the steps at the legendary Harvard Stadium.
We’ll crush a climbing goal together and then everyone’s invited to the AfterClimb with a live band, food, beer garden, and Summit Basecamp, featuring a growing mix of local partners, community organizations and pop-up experiences.
Youth-led Challenge teams climb for the organization or issue of their choice. Team Positive Tracks climbs to support our mission.
How does the youth-led team work?
Age 12-25? Join the Stadium Summit as a Positive Tracks Challenge Captain and start your own team. Captains are young leaders who organize their peers and communities to climb for the cause or organization they choose.
All Captains at the Stadium Summit will get the benefits of our Positive Tracks’ Challenges Program. You’ll also gain real-world leadership experience while creating meaningful impact.
You will:
- Be paired with a Positive Tracks Coach
- Choose how you want to champion your cause
- Have access to free Positive Tracks Captain resources
- Receive a Positive Tracks t-shirt, snacks, event swag
- Receive verified service hours and digital volunteer certificate
Where exactly is the event located?
The event will take place at Harvard Stadium. Entrance to parking is by the red “X” on the map and you’ll find registration by the red “O”.
Use this address for your GPS:
Harvard Stadium
65 North Harvard Street
Boston, MA 02163
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes suitable for stairs. Water, light snacks, pizza and event-day guidance will be provided.
How many Challenge Captains can sign up to support the same organization?
We can provide programmatic support up to 2 Co-Captains per organization. They are encouraged to invite their community to join them!
How do climbing goals work?
Participants choose their own climbing goal before the event. On April 29, 2027, you’ll complete your goal by climbing Harvard Stadium stairs through loops or repeats, at your own pace.
Do I need to be a runner or elite athlete to participate?
No. This event is designed for all fitness levels. Participants are welcome to walk, rest, and pace themselves as needed.
Do participants have to fundraise?
Fundraising is optional. All participants can support their cause through fundraising, education, awareness-building, and community engagement. A Positive Tracks Coach will help you decide what approach fits best and they will also help you set up a fundraising page if you choose to.
What is a Positive Tracks Coach?
Positive Tracks Coaches support Stadium Summit Challenge Teams leading up to the event. They help with confidence building, leadership skills, team-building, planning, goal-setting, public speaking and bringing your cause to life in a way that feels authentic to you.
Coaches also distribute Positive Tracks starter grants to Challenge Teams seeking events supplies, and fundraising matches to the nonprofit organizations they choose to support.
Can kids or families participate?
Yes. All ages can join Challenge Teams and the Team Positive Tracks Open Climb.
Can I participate without joining a team?
Yes. Individuals are welcome to register for the Team Positive Tracks Open Climb and participate independently to benefit Positive Tracks.
How do nonprofit organizations get involved?
The Positive Tracks Stadium Summit is a powerful way to amplify your mission through youth leadership. Encourage a young person in your network (ages 12–25) to register as a Positive Tracks Challenge Captain. They can also team up with a Co-Captain and invite friends and family to support your cause.
Your organization can help by spreading the word and recruiting participants. During the event, Captains will also have the opportunity to share about your nonprofit and host a table to highlight your mission.
What happens if I don’t finish my goal?
That’s okay. The goal is to show up, move your body, and contribute. Every step counts.
How do I get updates after I register?
All registered participants will receive event updates, preparation tips, and logistics via email from Positive Tracks leading up to April 29.
Is there a rain date?
This year’s event is “rain or shine”. If safety becomes an issue, the event may be canceled.
As a Challenge Captain, can I start a team to support Positive Tracks?
Yes! We are a local, Boston-based organization and would love your support. If you’re age 12-25, you can sign up as a Captain.
