YOU’LL NEED:
- A field in a safe location out of the way of traffic and parking lots or a large indoor room/gym
- Table for registration
- Insurance (if not covered by your school)
- Work out circuit plan. Here’s an online resource to get the ideas flowing. Or watch this video to see one in action.
- Work out equipment for your circuit. Ask your school, an athletic department or a local gym if you can borrow their equipment.
- Coaches for each station to show participants how to do the work out safely
- Cones to separate each circuit station
- Signs and posters for: what happens at each station/ which station to go to next
- Prizes
- Timer
- Bullhorn or loud friend
- Loud music
HOW IT GOES DOWN:
- Collect an entry fee from each person or team.
- Separate people into groups and by station
- Play loud, energizing music
- Decide on how many times a participant will do each station. Everyone starts at the same time and each station should last 30-45 seconds with 15 seconds of break in between. You can extend this break as time goes on.
- Designate a person to keep the time and call out when to switch
- Cheer everyone on!
