On your mark, get set go!

GET ORGANIZED:

Get started with our Week-By-Week Event Planner to make your life easy.

If you’re a Team Captain, check out our toolkit that’s designed just for you and provides answers about your role as a leader.

Make a list of everything that needs to get done and by whom with our Timeline Planner. Or use a free online planner like, Trello.

YOU’LL NEED:

  1. A field in a safe location out of the way of traffic and parking lots or a large indoor room/gym
  2. Table for registration
  3. Obstacle course plan: you can make it simple or challenging depending on the equipment you have and people participating. Here’s an online resource to get the ideas flowing.
  4. Obstacle course equipment: ask your school, an athletic department or a local gym if you can borrow their equipment
  5. Coaches along the course to make sure they are completing obstacles
  6. Signs and posters for directions
  7. Easel and poster to display times (you can also use a table if you don’t have an easel)
  8. Prizes
  9. Timer
  10. Bullhorn or loud friend

HOW IT GOES DOWN:

  • Collect an entry fee from each person or team.
  • Decide if you want two courses side by side or one that has a start and finish.
  • People can compete in teams or individually.
  • Designate a person to keep the time and call out when to switch
  • Cheer everyone on!
