You'll Need
- A date and time with access to a class with plenty of equipment available.
- An instructor who can lead the class.
- Tables for registration, water and snacks.
- Signs and posters.
- Registration, set up and clean up volunteers.
How It Plays Out
- Choose how you want to structure your event – make it into a “thon” type event and collect pledges. Consider how far you can go or how many reps you can do in a given amount of time. You could also do a team relay. Go here to learn more about collecting pledges.
- Ask the location and instructor if they will donate a portion of the proceeds of the class or coach for free.
- If you’re fundraising, collect an entry fee from each person or team or gather your pledges for your activity.
- As you do your activity, update your supporters on your progress.
- To help others learn about the impact you’re making, connect the amount of reps you do or the amount of time you’re doing it to a statistic related to your cause.
