The ranks swelled with friends and partners schmoozin’ and cruizin’ through the evening in celebration and thanks to youth philanthletes, and to supporters who help Positive Tracks reach more young people. The Sweatys Get Active Award was presented by Grassroot Soccer co-founder Ethan Zohn to 23-year-old Josh Elkes who ran the NYC Marathon in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 on behalf of Grassroot Soccer, in addition to completing The Two Oceans Ultra Marathon in Africa, The Boston Marathon (just two weeks after Two Oceans), NYC’s Five Boro Bike Tour, and Vermont 50 Miler Ultra Run.

The Sweatys Give Back Award was presented by Travis Roy, founder of Travis Roy Foundation, to the 11-year-old Cupcake Girls, Ella Boucher and Molly Vincent, who raised $4,423 in 2014 by baking and selling cupcakes for their Dempsey Challenge Team at the walk/run/cycle effort benefiting The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing.

Love, gratitude, and enthusiasm raced neck in neck down the homestretch as Positive Tracks presented Sparkle-cha-cha Hula Hoops in recognition to stakeholders and supporters for outstanding contributions of time, advice, or funds. Byron Glaser, designer of Positive Tracks’ charismatic identity and brand, was the sole recipient to demonstrate credible hula chops. All others have been registered for the Positive Tracks hula refresher course.
