GETTING STARTED

  • Consider what you want everyone TO KNOW, TO FEEL and TO DO?
  • Get details together: what activity you’ll be doing, when, donation amount, who you’re helping and WHY. Here are some tips  to help you figure this out.
  • Make a list of your network – friends, family, school connections, teams, clubs, local businesses etc. for ideas about where to share

SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH

  • Use Your Instagram bio to share links to the cause you’re supporting, your fundraising page or Venmo (if applicable). If you need to add multiple links in your bio, you can use a resource like LinkTree.
  • Start a Facebook Event page or a Facebook Fundraiser to share details easily.
  • Post or create a story about WHY you’re doing what you’re doing and ask people to take action by sharing donate, if you’re fundraising.
  • Canva.com is a free online resource that has templates you can use to create images for Instagram.
  • Here’s a google folder filled with examples like the ones below.

  • Get creative and use humor to grab the attention of your audience.
