WHO:  Co-captains Jasper Meyer and Cam Marshall, Lyme, NH

WHAT: Jasper raised $3,375 individually and captained the “Lyme School Caped Crusaders” team, raising $11,975 for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in 2011. Cam Marshall and Jasper Meyer co-captained “B Positive Heroes For Heroes” raising $4,215.48 as a team in 2012.

HOW: Jasper built multiple iMovies to promote youth teams at the CHaD Hero Half Marathon & Ripcord 5K; raised awareness for the CHaD through “SuperSuit Sightings”, fundraised through bake-sales, computer skills tutoring, buckle making, pesto sales, and personal email pledge requests. Cam built the “B Positive 4 CHaD Kids” initiative to support CHaD families.

WHY: Jasper says: “My friend Cam Marshall (treated at CHaD) has recovered now, but when I am fundraising for CHaD, I think about all the kids there who don’t have it as easily as I do. When I am pushing through to the end of a run or a ride, I realize that my discomfort is not even close to the daily struggle of somebody with cancer, and that’s what helps me finish.”
