Movement Closet

Purpose of the Movement Closet

Please read this policy in its entirety.

The Movement Closet is a pick-up-only system for Positive Tracks Captains in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. The closet is for Captains to borrow items commonly used for athletic events (Challenges). The items available are materials such as projectors, sound systems, tables, and tents.

The Movement Closet is designed to reduce the logistical and financial barriers youth may face when organizing Positive Tracks Challenges. We recognize that these events often require costly materials, and instead of encouraging each Captain to purchase their own, the Movement Closet promotes sustainability and community by sharing resources.

Who Can Borrow Equipment?

  • Youth aged 12-25 (Parent/guardian approval is required for borrowers under 18)
  • Captain or Co-Captain currently registered with Positive Tracks
  • Captains located in or near the Upper Valley of  NH and VT where Positive Tracks has a physical presence. Positive Tracks is open to lending to Captains willing to travel up to ~2 hours to pick up and return items, though we anticipate this will be less frequent.

Types of Equipment Available

We lend items (but not limited to):

  • Fitness Gear (dodgeballs, tennis balls, bean bags, soccer balls, yoga mats, cones, hula hoops, soccer goals)
  • Tech (microphone, megaphone, speaker)

All equipment is subject to availability and condition. You will be able to see a full list of items when you fill out the request form.

Borrower Responsibilities

  • Use equipment safely and for its intended purpose
  • Return all items clean and in good condition
  • Report any damage, loss, or issues immediately
  • Do not lend equipment to others

Lost or Damaged Equipment

We know accidents happen, however, borrowers (or their guardians) may be asked to contribute to replacement or repair costs based on the situation and value of the item.

Violation of Policy

Repeated late returns, failure to report damage, or misuse of equipment may result in loss of borrowing privileges.
