The Comets Express bowling fundraiser for the TRF WIFFLE Ball Tournament.WHO: Mia Vecchione, Chelmsford, MA, age 20

WHAT: Raised $4,212 with team Comets Express via bowling tournaments, socials, and a golf tournament forthcoming.

WHY: I heard about TRF through a very close family friend with a spinal cord injury which made this fundraiser not only a good cause, but personal. My whole family “wanted in” as soon as we heard about it.

TAKE-AWAY: I sometimes find it difficult to get out and fundraise with the limited time I have, but when I do ask, I am never disappointed with the outcome. I am amazed by people’s generosity and by how much they want to help when they hear Travis’ story. It makes me feel proud to be a part of this.

TAKE-AWAY: Travis is one of the greatest human beings I have ever met and it is inspirational to see how he has turned a great life challenge into something so incredible. I am honored to help him and all those affected.
