GOOD SWEAT CALLS FOR GOOD FOOD AND USUALLY A LOT OF IT!

It’s confusing to navigate all the latest nutritional advice on fad diets, energy bars, Vegan this, gluten-free that, paleo mania, etc. And then there’s the whole scoop on hydration and “recovery” drinks. It’s endless! But this much we know: all food contains six basic nutrients. These include carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and water. Our bodies need them all, even fat, in healthy amounts. A balanced diet with minimal processed food is ideal.

A FEW GOLDEN RULES:

Want to see what to eat in one, pretty picture? Take a look at the eatwellplate.

To perform your best, when you eat is as important as what you eat. Three golden rules:

•    Breakfast is the most important meal of the day — don’t skip it!

•    Refueling post workout is putting money in the bank!

•    Don’t forget to drink. For hydration help, download Hydrate Early; Hydrate Often guide.
