A KEY PARTNER IN ACTIVATING NEXT GEN SPORT FOR GOOD

Positive Tracks is in an exciting place right now! By the end of 2016, more than 40,000 young people will use Positive Tracks’ hands on help, platforms and programs to get active and give back. Best news is: youth have myriad options! Positive Tracks has built multiple pathways to help young people sweat for good for causes they choose, using the athletic endeavor they design!

With Positive Tracks U23 Challenges Program and Charity Partner Program now scaling across the country, we’d like to acknowledge the organizations and people who have believed in our mission and vision from the very beginning.

Among these core supporters is Jane’s Trust – the philanthropy that provided seed funding for Positive Tracks since its initial conception. Among their many philanthropic focus areas, Jane’s Trust believes that all young people – no matter who they are or where they come from – are deserving of the opportunity to be change-makers and help shape their communities and the world.

As a generous supporter of youth causes with a history of supporting innovation and organizational growth, Jane’s Trust provides support so that organizations can grow in sustainable ways. “The Trustees of Jane’s Trust were keen to invest in a program that not only cultivates a spirit of generosity and philanthropic engagement across generations, but that also encourages healthy habits and physical activity through its unique get active, give back model,” says Gioia Perugini, a Program Officer for Jane’s Trust and Associate Director of Family Office and Philanthropy Services at  Hemenway & Barnes LLP in Boston.

While early support from Jane’s Trust enabled Positive Tracks to develop the infrastructure, partnership and youth challenge grants necessary to help Generation Next sweat for good, subsequent grants have supported critical research and evaluation.

“Thanks to to a generous grant in 2015, Positive Tracks has launched a full-scale evaluation strategy,” comments Ray Shedd, Positive Tracks’ Director of Partnerships & Marketing. “We’re examining how Positive Tracks programs and curriculum cultivates “civic active-ism” and healthy habits in young people, thereby amplifying impact on youth and community.”

Please join us in shouting a heartfelt and grateful thank you to Jane’s Trust for believing not only in Positive Tracks, but also in our next generation of civic leaders.
